Our open letter has been sent to Sadiq Khan!
Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement and support.
With 60 organisations backing the Car Free Day campaign, our campaign has gained unprecedented momentum. We want to thank all our endorsers for making this possible.
Today we have sent our open letter to the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, asking him to publicly support the introduction of a Car Free Day in London this year. A copy of the letter has also been set to Shirley Rodrigues, Deputy Mayor, Environment and Energy; Val Shawcross, Deputy Chair of Transport for London and Dr. Will Norman, Walking and Cycling Commissioner.
The Mayor of London has up to 20 working days to gives us an answer. But in the meantime, we need your help more than ever. We want to show to Sadiq Khan that there's a public support for the introduction of a Car Free Day. If you can encourage your friends and family to also sign our petition and share it on social media using the hashtag #LondonCarFreeDay2018, you will be our hero.
It's by acting together that we can create a positive and sustainable future for our beloved city!
Thanks for your help,
